Water & Waste Water

The solids handling capabilities make the Dakk peristaltic pump perfect for use in sewage works where flushed debris can clog traditional progressive cavity pumps.
Dakk peristaltic pumps are ideal for pumping unscreened sewage in primary water treatment separation systems, aqueous ammonia, ferric chloride, fluoride, polymers, sodium hypochlorite, potassium permanganate, caustic soda etc.

Applications

Sump with FOGS (fats, oils, greases)
Food Industry

Due to the low shear and solids handling capabilities the Dakk peristaltic pump it is ideal for use in the food industry. Another advantage is that only the hose comes into contact with the pumped product ensuring high hygiene standards.
Examples are FOGS (fats, oils and greases), Cheese, Pasta, Chocolate, meat, Nuts, Bread Dough etc.

Engineering and Manufacture

Dakk peristaltic pumps were originally designed to be used in the recovery of mill scale from settlement ponds and sumps in steelworks. Existing pumps repeatedly failed due to the abrasive nature of mill scale and blockages resulting in dry running. Both these problems have been overcome with the Dakk peristaltic pumps' ability to pump abrasive, solid laden media and run dry without damage.
Peristaltic pumps are also useful when pumping oil, concrete, sludge, coolant etc.

Pharmaceutical and Chemical

Dakk peristaltic pumps are very accurate in dosing and have been found to have repeatability of ±1%. This is due to the no backflow, no slip design.

Due to the low shear pumping action they are also ideal for shear sensitive products such as flocculants and broths, and dosing of chemicals into oil water separation tanks and pumping out both the settled and floating effluent.

Peristaltic pumps have also been found to excel in pumping serum, liquid protein, syrups etc
